At Tiny Tales Shelf, we want every parcel to arrive safe, sound, and ready to be loved. This Shipping & Packaging Policy explains how we package orders, shipping costs, processing and delivery times, tracking, and what to do if something goes wrong. By placing an order with us, you accept the terms below.
1. Packaging
We carefully package every order to protect books during transit. Depending on the product, we use appropriate materials such as:

Padded mailers or corrugated boxes

Bubble wrap or paper padding for extra protection

Reinforced corners for delicate or hardcover books
If an item requires special packaging (e.g., fragile collector’s editions), we’ll ensure extra protection.
2. Shipping Rates
Shipping charges are calculated based on weight, package dimensions and destination. You will see the exact shipping cost at checkout before you complete your purchase.
We sometimes offer special shipping promotions (for example, free shipping over a minimum order value). Any such offers will be displayed on the site or at checkout.
3. Processing Time
Orders are typically processed within 3 business days from the time of purchase (excluding weekends and public holidays). During peak seasons (festival sales, book fairs, etc.), processing may take a little longer — we’ll let you know if there are any expected delays.
4. Delivery Time
Delivery estimates depend on your location and the carrier selected at checkout. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email (and/or SMS/WhatsApp) containing the tracking number so you can monitor the delivery.
Typical delivery windows (after dispatch):

Delhi NCR: Within 2 days of dispatch

Rest of India: 4–7 business days (occasionally up to 10 days for remote areas)
These are estimates only and may vary based on carrier performance or regional factors.
We partner with reliable courier services to ensure timely deliveries, and most orders reach much sooner than estimated.
5. Order Tracking
Most shipments include tracking. After dispatch, we’ll email you the tracking number. Use this number on the carrier’s website to see delivery progress. If you don’t receive tracking info within 72 hours of purchase, please contact us.
6. Delivery Issues & Delays
While we aim for timely delivery, occasional delays can occur due to weather, carrier issues, or other unforeseen events. If your order is delayed beyond the estimated delivery window, please contact us and we will investigate and keep you updated.
7. Shipping Restrictions
Some products may be restricted from shipping due to legal or logistical reasons. If a product is restricted to your area, we will notify you and cancel the affected item(s) with a refund.
We reserve the right to cancel orders for restricted items and process refunds accordingly.
8. Change of Shipping Address
If you need to change your shipping address after placing an order, contact us immediately. We will attempt to update the address before the order ships, but we cannot guarantee changes once the parcel has been dispatched.
9. Lost or Damaged Packages
If your order arrives damaged or appears to have missing items, please contact us within 12 hours of delivery with your order details and supporting evidence.
For damaged or missing item claims, customers are required to share a complete unboxing video that clearly shows:

The sealed outer package before opening

The AWB (Air Waybill) number / shipping label visible on the parcel

The full unboxing process, including the moment the package is opened and the product damage or issue is visible
This video evidence is mandatory to initiate a claim with our courier partner.
Without the video, we will unfortunately be unable to process replacement or refund requests for damaged or missing items.
We will then:

File a claim with the courier service, and
-
Work with you toward a suitable resolution (replacement or refund), depending on the situation and stock availability.
Please retain all original packaging until the issue is resolved.
10. International Shipping
At present, Tiny Tales Shelf does not offer automatic international shipping through the website.
However, if you wish to have your order shipped outside India, please reach out to us on WhatsApp with your Order ID and delivery country details.
We will check the available international courier options, calculate the applicable shipping charges, and share the estimated cost and delivery timeline with you.
Once you confirm and agree to the additional charges, we will process the shipment manually.
Please note:

International delivery times and rates vary by country.

Customs duties, taxes, and import fees (if any) will be borne by the customer.
